Databases, caches, backup storage, and backups
Databases
Databases run PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and MongoDB with stable private endpoints, generated credentials, and engine-aware operations. PostgreSQL adds recovery backups, point-in-time recovery, read replicas, a dedicated standby, monitoring, automatic failover, and planned switchover.
Caches
Caches run Redis and Memcached with stable private endpoints. Redis adds persistence, recovery backups, read replicas, a dedicated standby, monitoring, planned switchover, and automatic failover. Memcached remains intentionally ephemeral.
Backups And Backup Storage
Backups protect managed Databases and Redis Caches through engine-specific recovery paths. Named Backup Storage holds encrypted recovery backups in S3-compatible object storage. Application runtime can be rebuilt from a Release; Backups protect data that cannot be recreated that way.
