# Getting Started

Deploy an App and give it a PostgreSQL database. Blossom builds your code,
keeps the App running and backs up the database.

Follow the commands yourself or
[ask your AI agent](/learn/prompt-and-deploy/) to run them. You use
the same tools either way.

## Choose Your Cloud

| Start with | What you get |
|---|---|
| [Blossom Cloud](/learn/getting-started/choose-your-cloud/#blossom-cloud) | The simplest setup: choose a Location and deploy |
| [Blossom BYOC (bring your own cloud)](/learn/getting-started/choose-your-cloud/#blossom-byoc) | Run in your cloud account; Blossom handles deployment and operations |

Both paths join the same App-and-database steps below.

## Deploy Your App

1. [Install and log in](/learn/getting-started/install/)
2. [Choose your cloud and Location](/learn/getting-started/choose-your-cloud/)
3. [Create an App](/learn/getting-started/apps/)
4. [Set up its Environment](/learn/getting-started/environments/):
   source, Services and variables
5. [Add PostgreSQL](/learn/databases/) and connect it to the App
6. [Deploy](/learn/getting-started/deploy/) and view your logs

## What You Get

A live App, a connected database with backups, and logs and Activity in the
CLI and Web UI. Deploy an update with the same command whenever you're ready.

## Keep Prompting

> Deploy my latest changes and show me the logs.

[Clean up](/learn/getting-started/cleanup/) when you're done
trying it out.
