Reference

blossom organization:member:update

Update an organization member

Usage

blossom organization:member:update --id ID [--data DATA]

Flags

Flag Description
--id (required) Organization member id or user id
--data, -d YAML or JSON member data, a path to a data file, or an HTTP(S) URL

Examples:

blossom organization:member:init
blossom organization:member:update --id organization_user-100 --data member.yml

Updates an organization member and their Account access.

Use organization:member:init to create a starter member.yml file. Edit the file, then update the member with --data.

Account access:

  • selected: the member needs direct Account grants for specific Accounts
  • all: the member can access every current and future Account in the organization

Changing a member to or from owner requires owner_confirmation with the exact organization name. Organization admins have access to every Account in the organization, so admin members do not need Account permission fields.

all-Account member.yml:

member:
  role: member
  account_access: all
  permission_set_id: read_only

permission_set_id accepts built-in Permission Set ids such as full_access and read_only, or a custom Permission Set id such as permission_set-100.

selected-Account member.yml:

member:
  role: member
  account_access: selected
  account_grants_attributes:
    - account_id: account-development
      selected: true
      role: admin
    - account_id: account-production
      selected: true
      role: member
      permission_set_id: read_only

owner change member.yml:

member:
  role: owner
  owner_confirmation: Acme Corporation
