| Flag | Description |
|---|---|

--data, -d |
YAML or JSON data, a path to a data file, or an HTTP(S) URL |
--follow, -f |
Follow operation logs |
--timestamps |
Show log timestamps. Default: true. |
Create a PostgreSQL namespace inside an existing managed Database instance. It shares the engine and storage, with its own restricted user and password. No new Server or Volume is created.
database.yml:
database:
name: checkout_redesign
blossom database:create --database_instance database_instance-... --data database.yml --follow
blossom database:list --database_instance database_instance-...
Alternatively, include the parent in the payload and omit the flag:
{"database":{"name":"checkout_redesign","database_instance_id":"database_instance-..."}}
The parent is required in either place. If both are supplied, they must match. Omit the list filter to see all Databases in the selected Account.
Names start with a lowercase letter and contain only lowercase letters, digits
and underscores, up to 63 characters. PostgreSQL system database names are
reserved. Creation is asynchronous; --follow waits for its Activity.
An Environment Link uses target_type: Database and the returned
database-... ID. database:credentials explicitly reveals the
namespace connection details and requires env_var:read.
Retry a failed creation with database:retry. Repeat deletion to retry
an interrupted delete. Deleting a namespace removes only its data, role and
links. Delete the parent Database instance to remove its initial namespace and engine.
