# blossom cloud_provider:create

Create a cloud provider

## Usage

    blossom cloud_provider:create [--data DATA]

## Flags

| Flag | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `--data, -d` | YAML or JSON data, a path to a data file, or an HTTP(S) URL |

Examples:

    blossom cloud_provider:init
    blossom cloud_provider:create --data cloud_provider.yml
    blossom cloud_provider:create -d '{"cloud_provider":{"name":"hetzner-production","provider":"hetzner","credentials":{"api_token":"..."}}}'

cloud_provider.yml:

```yaml
cloud_provider:
  name: hetzner-production
  provider: hetzner
  credentials:
    api_token: $HETZNER_API_TOKEN
```

Creates a cloud provider in the current Blossom Account. `provider` is the
Blossom provider key. Run `blossom cloud_provider:types` to see supported
providers, required fields, and example payloads.

Local files and inline data support `$VAR` and `${VAR}` substitution from
`.env`, `BLOSSOM_VARS_FILE`, and the process environment. See
`blossom help:data`.

Run `blossom cloud_provider:init` to create a starter Hetzner
cloud_provider.yml file.

Use JSON output when another tool needs to read provider requirements:

    BLOSSOM_OUTPUT=json blossom cloud_provider:types

After creating a cloud provider, check the saved credentials:

    blossom cloud_provider:check --id cloud_provider-100

When available, text output includes an `Open:` link to the cloud provider in
the Blossom web UI. JSON output includes the same link under `meta.links.web`.

Some providers require browser authorization and cannot be created through the
API. See the full guide:
