# blossom capacity:init

Create a starter capacity.yml

## Usage

    blossom capacity:init [--force]

## Flags

| Flag | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `--force, -f` | Overwrite an existing starter file |

Examples:

    blossom capacity:init

capacity.yml:

```yaml
capacity:
  # on_demand: add room when needed.
  # automatic: keep shared room for one replacement container (default).
  # custom: keep at least the reserved capacity below.
  # All running capacity is charged, including spare room.
  reservation_mode: automatic
  # Required only with reservation_mode: custom.
  # reserved:
  #   cpu_vcpus: 4
  #   memory_gb: 8
  # Each Location has its own capacity ceiling. Request more with
  # blossom capacity:limit_request:create --location LOCATION_ID --units N --reason "..."
  # Production keeps excess Capacity for 24 hours after demand drops.
  # Development uses a shorter default. Retained Capacity is charged.
  # idle_retention_seconds: 86400
```

Creates a starter App Capacity policy file. Blossom already creates Capacity
for each Location; this file configures its reservation policy.

Edit the file, then run:

    blossom capacity:update --data capacity.yml

Choose On demand to add room when needed, Automatic to keep one shared
replacement allowance, or Custom to keep a fixed minimum. All running
capacity is charged. The Location capacity ceiling still applies.
