Deploy a Ruby on Rails application on Blossom from our [example repository](https://github.com/blossom-examples/ruby-rails).

## Deploy The Example

> **Ask your AI agent:** Deploy the Ruby on Rails Quickstart to Blossom.

Or in Blossom:

1. Open **New App → Quickstarts** and choose **Ruby on Rails**.
1. Review the prefilled source, the App and Environment names, and the `web` Service command and port.
1. In **Database**, pick or create a PostgreSQL Database instance. The example's variables come prefilled:
   - `RAILS_MASTER_KEY`
   - `SECRET_KEY_BASE`
   - `RAILS_ENV`
1. Choose **Deploy**. Blossom creates the App and starts its first deploy.

From the terminal, list the Quickstarts, then deploy this one:

    blossom quickstart:list
    blossom app_plan:create -d '{"app_plan":{"quickstart":"ruby-rails-export"}}'
    blossom app_plan:deploy --id app_plan-100

## What You Get

- A live Ruby on Rails App on its own HTTPS URL, behind health-checked releases
- A managed PostgreSQL database, already linked, with backups on
- Logs, metrics and Activity from the first deploy
- A starting point: [deploy your own App](/learn/prompt-and-deploy/) the same way

Next, [add your domain](/learn/domains/) or
[preview every pull request](/learn/previews/).
