Private, ephemeral Memcached caches
Blossom runs Memcached 1.6 as an ephemeral Cache with a stable private endpoint. It is suited to disposable values that an application can recompute from another source of truth.
Recovery Contract
Memcached has no durable storage. Blossom recreates a missing Cache, but it returns empty. Backups, replicas, standbys, and failover are not available because they would imply a durability contract Memcached does not provide.
Security
Memcached has no native authentication. Its private endpoint is available only to linked Apps. Never make the Memcached port public.
Create an Environment Link with target_type: CacheInstance. Blossom supplies
MEMCACHED_URL to every Service in the Environment as
memcached://HOST:PORT, with no credentials.
