# Apps

An App is one application. Each of its **Environments**, such as production
and staging, runs a copy from its own branch or image, with its own URL,
variables and data.

- **Services** are the processes an Environment runs, such as `web` and
  `worker`, kept healthy and scaled for you.
- **Releases** record every deploy, so you can see what's running and roll
  back in one step.
- **Jobs** run commands on a schedule or once, alongside your Services.

Every deploy rolls out gradually: the current version keeps serving until
the new one is ready.
