# environment_preview_settings_update

Change how an Environment's Previews work: expiry, limit, a Preview per pull request, a branch pattern, the setup command, or their size.

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `environment` | string | Environment id. Required. |
| `data` | object | Only the settings to change, as in preview_settings.yml. Required. |
| `data.expiry_days` | integer | Delete after this many days without a deploy: 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30. |
| `data.limit` | integer | Most Previews at once: 5, 10, 20 or 50. |
| `data.pull_requests` | boolean | A pull request into the Environment's branch gets a Preview until it closes. |
| `data.branch_pattern` | string | Pushing a matching branch, such as preview/*, creates a Preview. |
| `data.setup_command` | string | Runs once before a new Preview's first release, such as bin/rails db:prepare db:seed. |
| `data.resources` | object | Preview size: default.preset (micro, small, medium, large or service) and per-Service overrides. |
