# cache_instance_update

Change a cache: grow storage, standby, public access, deletion protection, backup storage.

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `id` | string | Cache instance id. Required. |
| `data` | object | Only the cache settings to change. Required. |
| `data.name` | string | Cache name. |
| `data.deletion_protection` | boolean | Refuse deletion until turned off. |
| `data.backup_storage_id` | string | Backup storage id. |
| `data.storage_gib` | integer | Grow storage to this many GiB. |
| `data.growth_restart` | boolean | Allow a restart if growing storage needs one. |
| `data.public_access` | boolean | Allow connections from outside the Location. |
| `data.public_allowed_sources` | string list | CIDRs allowed when public. |
| `data.standby` | boolean | Keep a standby for failover. |
