# cache_instance_replica_create

Add a read replica to a cache within the capacity limit.

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `data` | object | A read replica, as in cache_replica.yml. Required. |
| `data.cache_instance_id` | string | Primary cache id. |
| `data.placement_mode` | string | Where the node runs: automatic or a chosen Server. |
| `data.location_id` | string | Location id. |
| `data.server_id` | string | Server id for a chosen placement. |
| `data.server_spec` | object | BYOC only: the Server to create for this node. |
