# backup_restore

Restore a backup into a new instance, optionally to a point in time. The original keeps running. Returns the Activity; follow it with activity_wait.

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `id` | string | Backup id. Required. |
| `data` | object | Restore into a new instance. |
| `data.name` | string | New instance name. |
| `data.location_id` | string | Location id. |
| `data.backup_storage_id` | string | Backup storage id. |
| `data.port` | integer | Port. |
| `data.target_time` | string | Point in time to restore to, ISO 8601. |
| `data.availability` | string | shared or dedicated. |
| `data.size` | value | Shared only: small, medium or large, or {cpu_vcpus, memory_gb}. |
| `data.dedicated_size` | string | Size of the node's own Server, for availability: dedicated. |
| `data.size_cpu_vcpus` | number | Custom vCPUs. |
| `data.size_memory_gb` | number | Custom memory in GB. |
